Architects partner with hospital to rethink facilities in the midst of COVID-19
Jeff Mansfield â08, Amie Shao â06 *10, Regina (Yang) Chen â08 and others at MASS Design Group, a nonprofit architecture firm based in Boston and Kigali, Rwanda, partnered with the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City to research protocols so that hospitals can responsibly redesign existing spaces to provide the best care, while protecting their health care workers and mitigating the spread of infection as much as possible.

Covid Supply Team streamlines the delivery of in-demand PPE
Quarantined in Hong Kong for two weeks, Brian Sheng â18 leveraged his experience with China-U.S. relations and devised a plan to help bring PPE from China to American health care facilities, partnering with Rel Lavizzo Mourey â02, and Eric Sheng, Brianâs brother and a Penn alumnus. “I think it is times like these, in times of crisis, that the strength of the Princeton network really shows,” Sheng said.

Jim Ayala â84 illuminates the COVID-19 medical response in the Philippines
In the poorest sections of rural Philippines, Jim Ayala â84 and his solar-energy company have donated PPE equipment for more than 2,300 village frontliners and provided the equipment to light-up more than 130 unelectrified quarantine stations so that the health volunteers can effectively and safely do their jobs.
